various selected areas of the health professions, and provides advanced study for K-12 health teachers. Advanced study is provided to candidates engaged
in, or seeking, positions in the broad and expanding spectrum of the health professions in the school, community, business and industrial sectors, the

Online Health Education Certificate
The program's objectives will meet the needs of two audiences:
- Certified teachers who are currently teaching health education in a classroom setting and want to continue their education.
The courses have been chosen to provide pedagogical and content-based knowledge and skills grounded in the New Jersey Core Curriculum
Content Standards in Comprehensive Health. For classroom teachers whose primary focus is not health, as well as those for whom it is, furthering
their knowledge and skill base in health education based on the most current research and theories in the field expands the expertise they share
with their students.
- Professionals working in community agencies, business, higher education and non-teaching school settings that
include a health education function.
This 12-credit certificate program may be completed fully-online in two semesters while working full-time.
Course Requirements:
The course requirements listed below apply to those students admitted on or after Fall 2010. Anyone admitted prior to this term should refer to their Analysis of Academic Progress on WESS or see your academic advisor for your official program of study.
