Counseling and Educational Leadership
About the Licensure/Certification Programs
The department continues to emphasize the state licensure program for guidance counselors K-12 as well as administrators Specific information about state certification or licensure as well as applications for these credentials can be found by consulting state certification boards.
In the Counseling Program, courses are also available for individuals interested in completing all academic requirements for certification in alcoholism counseling (CADC), Substance Awareness Coordinator Certification (SAC), National Board Certification (NBCC), and New Jersey State Professional Counselor Licensure (LPC).
In the Educational Administration Program, courses are available to meet the academic requirements for New Jersey school administrators. Interested students can get licensure as Principals, Business Administrators, Supervisors, and School Administrators.
