| DESCRIPTION |
Tenure-track position in a teacher education program with an innovative curriculum that emphasizes inclusive education serving diverse communities. Appointment includes teaching a range of undergraduate and graduate courses focused on content areas, curriculum development, and assessment related to elementary/early childhood education; mentoring/supervising teacher candidates in diverse and inclusive practicum settings; building strong partnerships with schools, school faculty, and communities; developing new courses; and contributing to a department with a strong vision and innovative programs. Faculty members are expected to be active scholars, and to participate in departmental, college, and university committees and activities. |

| QUALIFICATIONS |
Earned doctorate in elementary/early childhood education, special education, or curriculum and teaching with a strong emphasis on elementary/early childhood education, or related field. Expertise in one of the following areas: special education, urban education, curriculum development, or second language learners. A well-defined research agenda and evidence of scholarly activities. Successful teaching at the early childhood/elementary level or equivalent is preferred. The department and the College of Education and Human Services are committed to student and faculty diversity and value the educational benefits that derive from such diversity.
