TITLE / RANK Assistant Professor
DEPARTMENT Early Childhood, Elementary, and Literacy Education
DESCRIPTION Tenure track position in Literacy Education. Appointment includes teaching a range of undergraduate and graduate courses focused on literacy development, language acquisition, reading strategies, content area reading, and other topics related to literacy teaching and learning; building strong partnerships with schools, school faculties, and communities; developing new courses; and contributing to a department with a strong vision and innovative programs. Faculty members are expected to be active scholars and to participate in department, college, and university activities.
   
QUALIFICATIONS Earned doctorate in reading, literacy, language acquisition, or related field. A well-defined research agenda and evidence of scholarly activities. P-12 teaching experience preferred. The department and the College of Education and Human Services are committed to student and faculty diversity and value the educational benefits that derive from such diversity.
